Add a photo – did you know that adding photos to your page regularly actually increases donations each time you post!

Set a target – setting a target is not only a great way of motivating yourself, but it’s great also encouraging for your supporters. Letting them know that they are getting you ever closer to your goal may just encourage them to give that little bit more. Plus, there’s no denying how satisfying it is when you see it tip that 100% mark.

Personalise your page – tell people what your motivations are for doing your challenge and what raising money for Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank means to you. Make your fundraising personal. Explain why you’re doing it! Friends and family won’t know how to support you if you don’t tell them, so don’t be shy! Let them know the ways in which they can sponsor you, from online to text giving, to traditional sponsorship.

Don’t be afraid to share your page on your social media –  make sure you tell everyone about your fundraising events and keep them updated. Share your page on pay day or on your birthday to encourage sponsorship!

Sending a text, WhatsApp message or message on Messenger –  to friends and family is also a great way to encourage people to support you.

Include any money you’ve raised offline – Add your cash and cheque donations to your page so everyone can see how well you’re doing. We can provide you with a sponsorship form if you require one.

Email – lots of your family, friends and colleagues may not be on social media but would like to hear what you are doing adding the link
