Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank – HARVEST 2023 Resources

7th September 2023

We are humbled and blessed by the faithful giving of churches, schools, businesses and the wider community locally that has enabled us to support  local people with emergency food parcels for the past eleven years; 24,000 people in the past year alone

Please take the time to read this update on the current situation, as well as Harvest.

HARVEST

Here are the links to this year’s Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank Harvest 2023 videos; about how our supporters and volunteers, enable us to make a difference helping those facing food poverty locally. Trustee Glenn Parkes MBE, shares his thoughts on how, if we look after our planet well and share it’s resources there will be enough for everyone.

Schools, churches and community groups tell us they find our Harvest videos a useful, informative Harvest resource; we hope that you will find this also.

COST OF LIVING IMPACT:

Throughout 2023 our average number of people supported per month has been over 1,900 people, compared to pre-Covid levels of nearer 1,000.

With the pressure on incomes of energy, fuel and food prices, this was an average of 2,500 people per month for the first three months of 2023. Despite everyone feeling the pinch, we are continuing to receive generous food donations, provisions that we are truly grateful for, but we are currently having to buy food items on our shopping list.

We value your support and prayers for our work in such challenging times.

Yours Faithfully,

Corrine Boden MBE,

Stoke on Trent Foodbank Director of Services
