Job Vacancy for Warehouse Assistant and Volunteer Co-ordinator

Stoke-on-Trent foodbank Main Warehouse, Magdalen Road, Blurton, ST3 3HS

Salary:    

£7.90 per hour

Contract:      

12 month fixed term contract (subject to funding)

Hours:        

25 hours per week.  Usual  working hours will be 9:45 am until 4pm Monday to Thursday.

Some flexibility essential, with very occasional weekend working required

Stoke-on-Trent foodbank is looking for an organised and friendly person who is able to support and organise Volunteers with all areas of the foodbank Warehouse activity.  It is essential for the post holder to be able to move and handle heavy crates and boxes, drive a transit van, and have basic IT skills.

The role will be based at our Main Warehouse in Blurton, with frequent travel around the City.  The successful person will be inducting new Volunteers, supporting them in all areas of the Warehouse activity, including sorting and storage of food items, food drives, collecting donated goods from across the City, and working with the Warehouse Co-ordinator in receiving donations, preparing the orders and dispatching them out to the church distribution points.
