Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank launch online funding campaign

9th March 2016

We’ve launched Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank’s Van Project on Crowdfunder.

Both our part-time Warehouse Assistants and our Volunteers drive the van across the City to our 17 distribution centres in order to re-stock each centre and collect donations. The van is also integral in supermarket food drives, as without it we would struggle to transport the generous donations that we are given back to the warehouse. The van costs £200 a month to run – this figure breaks down to £100 spent on fuel; £40 spent on insurance and £60 on MOT and repairs.

We are crowdfunding in order to secure funding for running the van for 3 months which amounts to £600.

Please support our project by pledging as little as £2: http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/stoke-on-trent-foodbanks-van-project/

Thanks for your support in feeding those hungry in Stoke-on-Trent.
